The Ann Arbor Public School Elementary Librarians have compiled summer activities that will keep you reading and active. Click on the “tent” and scroll down to see the choice boards the Librarians have put together. Check out the links at the top to see eBook recommendations and more summer fun activities. Be sure to click on the “globe” to find books and information about race and social justice. Rain or shine, indoors or out - you are bound to have fun at our virtual summer reading camp!

Fiction and Nonfiction Ocean Habitats
This week we will be using Bookflix to read about animal habitats.
Bookflix is an online literacy resource that pairs fiction with nonfiction books.
Fiction books contain made-up characters and events, and Nonfiction books contain real, true information.
1. Click on the Online Resources for Home Learning button above.
2. Under Additional Resources, select Scholastic Bookflix Learning from Home.
3. Scroll down the page and select Grades PreK-K
4. Select Week 4
5. Scroll down the page and select the stories in Day 16: Ocean Habitats
6. Watch and read the fiction and nonfiction books.
7. When finished, see the Puzzlers section for fun review activities.
8. Optional Activity: Draw a picture of creatures you would find under the sea. Share it with a family member.

PebbleGo is a kid-friendly searchable database that covers a variety of research topics. There are five main modules - Animals, Science, Biographies, Social Studies, and Dinosaurs that are divided into topics and subtopics.
Learning About Springtime Animals-Robins
